It might seem a little redundant to start a new topic such as this, but seeing as the previous forum was hacked and some info lost I thought it would be a good idea to say a little bit about myself and what I'm tyrying to achieve.

I'm English but I now live in Sweden. I moved here 3 years ago with my girlfriend who is Swedish. I began playing union at school and then my interest for league grew after I started playing at London Skolars in 1999. At the moment I'm playing union here because it's the only code that exists.

I'm studying at Gothenburg university to become a teacher in sports and english and I have an ambition to bring rugby league into the country. Compared to union I think league is easier to introduce to beginners in many ways. Becuase of it's simplicity league can be understood pretty quickly, as a player, as a coach and as a referee. It's a lot more complicated when you have to deal with heavy pressure at scrums and lifting in lineouts.

So far I'm a one man opperation, but I've held a couple of lessons for my fellow sports students and I've held a few lessons at a couple of schools. I've got 3 years left at uni so it'll be a balancing act between studies and rugby until I will have a more influencial position regarding promotion of the game on a more full time basis.

It's going to be a long jouney, but I'm here for the ride all the way.
