After only one London League fixture, a 38-22 win at South London Storm, London Griffins are joining Farnborough Falcons, Finchley and Gosport and Fareham Vikings in the 2007 Rugby League Conference South.

Club Chairman Giovanni Cinque explained the move "We were fully expecting to spend this and probably next season in the London League but after Broadstairs pulled out of Conference South the RFL approached us to take over their fixtures. The club have had a thorough debate as to whether we feel able to step up and do justice to the competition. Although unexpected we feel the opportunity is one we should grasp with both hands. The faith that Caro Wild and the RFL have shown in us gives us added confidence".

London Griffins will begin the 2007 RLC South campaign in June after completing pre arranged fixtures on May 26th at Bedford Tigers and against Wigan Web Warriors on June 2nd as a curtain raiser to the Quins v Wigan Super League game.
