The Wizards entertain The Spires at Willenhall on Sunday 22nd April in the 1st of 2 warm-up friendlies.

A big thanks to all lads who turned out today - I think we had about 22 in the end.

It was quite disjointed but that to be expected with all the chopping and changing but it was a good run out.

Thanks go especially to Chesterfield who came with a bare minimum. There aren't many established developmental sides who would travel all that way on a Sunday afternoon without a full strength side for a friendly. I just hope they manage to keep things together.

Also thanks must go to the Wizards players who put their hand up and played for the Chesterfield side at some point as well as on the Wizards side- Adam Clewley, Paul "Johnny" Barker (I'll have it...........Bang :D ), The Surge, Karl, Aussie (did you see my barnstorming run which resulted in a try), Matt Haughtey, Chris Upsher and Wizard's guest player Jason Spafford (sorry if I have missed anybody out).

A 3 week break until the first game against Redditch, but plenty of training time to do lots of defence work.
