Website launched for Rugby League in Sweden

The development of Rugby League in Sweden has been boosted by the launch of a brand new website in partnership with LastTackle.com.

The man trying to push the "greatest game" in the Scandinavian country is Scott Edwards, and he is delighted that he now has an online base to push the game forward.

He said: "The launch of this website is a big step in the right direction, it highlights how serious I am about this project. Hopefully it will lead to good things. A massive thank you to James Gordon at Last Tackle."

The website was designed by James Gordon, of LastTackle.com, a news site which provides the latest happenings in the world of Rugby League, including Super League, NRL and the National Leagues.

James added: "The development of the game is something all true Rugby League fans want to see. Scott needs all the support he can get, and designing this website and establishing a partnership between Sweden Rugby League and Last Tackle is the least I can do to help."

Scott now hopes to be able to publicise his ambitions further and attract more support and help from people willing to help.

As quoted above, "a massive thank you to James". It's exciting to see the new look website, I have to say it's a big improvment to the original one.

Unfortunately I have to prioritise my university studies over the comming weeks, also I have no work experience untill after march. I'm passionate about this project and it will demand of lot of my own time but I'm hoping that the promotion of the website will get the attention of people alreday within the rugby community here. One thing I'm planning to do in the future is a rugby league workshop for sports teachers so they can take the game back to thier schools and hopefully use it in their lesson plans.

I'll keep you all updated as and when......

Good news Scott. As always, if there's anything I can do, give me a shout.

Hi James,
The link to the website on the forum menu isn't working properly.
Can you fix it?
Thanks

Done :)

Hi James, When do you think you'll have the website updated with the Swedish text?

I'm looking to contact the sports teachers at some local schools and I want to send them the link to the website. Even though almost every Swede is more than good enough at English I'd still like to use their language when making contact.

Ah had forgot about that.

I've got a few deadlines to meet over the next 2/3 days, so hopefully I'll have it sorted by the weekend :)

I know I'm nagging Jay, but when do you think you'll have the Swedish text sorted??? I've contacted another local college about having some lessons.

Cheers
