Flying start for Junior RavensWith reports flowing out of the Kent Ravens Rugby League every week, the club has announced this week that the Junior Ravens will kick start their 2007 campaign with training on Thursday 1st March 2007.
With help from many new faces the Ravens will set out their first junior training session to be fun and entertaining for all involved, while also building toward the first matches on the 10th of the same months.
Far from being the same each year, the Junior Ravens like last year when they introduced an under 9s teams are looking to expand again with new teams at under 16, under 14, under 12 and under 7s levels to join the existing teams that include the successful under 11s.
Some may notice that this season the Junior Ravens are kick starting their season a bit earlier, that is due to the Under 16s, Under 14s and Under 12s being invited to join the RFL southern Junior league this year which will provide these age groups with competitive matches between March and July against teams from Croydon, Hemel Hempstead, Greenwich and Kingston to name a few.
Club Director Vicki Bacon said “The Ravens are now very close to being able to provide some thing for everyone now and all the children that played last season are itching to come back for 2007 so we’re all looking forward to what looks like being a great season for everyone involved in the Junior Ravens”
The Junior Ravens are looking for children of all ages to come and join in even if you have no experience; it is great fun with also the chance for players to work through representative honours too.
