Parts of the tournament played last Friday have been captured on video camera. The whole tournament wasn't filmed because the battery died, lol.

Anyway, there is a good 30 minutes of action, and I am currently burning a dvd to each participant, which contains footage of the action. I am doing this for two reasons:

1. It gives the children who played something to remember the game by.

2. The myths that the parents may have about rugby league will be squashed when they watch this dvd.

Sounds good Justin. Hows the issue regarding gaining permission going?

Haven't got to that stage yet. Will enquire about it soon though.

A lot of parents have actually been quite postive to the sport, because it interests the kids and it gets them off their backside and out of the house, lol.

I handed out the dvd to the kids today, but only to the kids who participated in the previous tournament. Some of the kids who did not go last time were a bit sad, but I told them that the only way they can get the dvd is by participating B)

Good stuff Justin, it makes the kids want to play for something and should get a few more interested in the game.

It's also something to look back on.

Make sure you keep a copy Justin, it might be worth starting a Norway RL portfolio of records, events, videos, pictures etc. You never know in 20 years time when RL is established in the country, they would be superb for the history of the game there.

I got a directory on my pc which contains everything about previous tournaments, so I will be keeping that updated.
